Personal Update: AGH!

By Melissa

So many things in so little time. Actually, I’ll be honest…even though I’ve been running this little blog for the past 2 years and the fact that I’ve been engaged for 1.5, I am literally the most ‘last minute’ person ever. Horrible, I know! Sadly, I don’t have photos to show you of my progress, but I promise, they are coming! Programs, favor boxes, menus and escort cards. Stay tuned …

But until then, here’s my personal inspiration for my escort card display.

Instead of colored fabric, I’ll be using patterned cardstock because it was actually pretty difficult to find unique patterns that I liked within my color scheme (black/white/green). I also wanted to avoid buying meters of different fabric which would ultimately go to waste because only a small amount was needed. So one of the benefits of using Cardstock is that it comes in plenty of designs & colors and it’s lighter, especially when you have 140 to display. Pictures to come in the next week!

Oh and I am so happy that the site was featured in my local newspaper the Edmonton Journal. Click here to see it. It’s always nice to get press, but it’s even better when it’s within your own community.

And hoorah, a chinese dress has been found!

Wow, I love the escort card display, Melissa! It’ll look beautiful- I can’t wait to see pictures. And congratulations on finding your Chinese dress! Did you end up getting a red one?

Kaitlyn - Thanks for your kind words! I can consider you my PR girl haha!

Stephanie - Thanks! Yes, I got a red one with sleeves and it has a gold pheonix embroidered on the front. It’s also got a couple other designs in other colors. I was surprised it fit perfectly with no alterations. Guess it was meant to be !
