Romantic French Inspired Wedding? is this what you have always dreamt of, then this one is definitely for you

We’ve got a fabulous Parisian inspired photoshoot courtesy some fabulous Niagara (Ontario) vendors. When I received the images from Weddings Tied With Lace: Planning and Design, I knew I had to share them with you. Captured by Jesse James Photography, I’d have to say my favorite details are the Chanel table numbers and the soft combination of champagne, teal, and peach. The color combination chosen for the macaron tower is just as divine.

Our theme was “ romantic French”. We wanted to feel like we had been transported to an ultra-romantic village in France. We originally based the theme around “Chanel”, but we didn’t necessarily want to incorporate the tweed patterns they are so famous for. Instead, we went with a lot of texture and layers in the décor. Our stationary even included a “Chanel No 5” table number. We really wanted to stay away from vintage and rustic as we’ve seen so much of it lately. We opted for a much more clean, crisp, and romantic look. The different colored and textured linen really ties the theme together. We replaced a traditional cake with a macaron tower. The daintiness of the macarons and the fact that they are a traditional French cookie fit perfectly in lieu of a cake.

Now its time to check another wedding photoshoot which is very stunning and contemporary.

I can’t think of a better way to start the week than to share this utterly stunning wedding captured by Mango Studios and planned by Melissa Andre Events Inc. It knocks your socks off full of contemporary details, held on the 6th floor at TIFF Bell Lightbox, in the heart of Toronto’s Entertainment District. The stark black and white palette with pops of gold, along with the use of houndstooth throughout are the perfect combination of sophistication. And details such as the popsicle bar and personalized initial mugs for the guests make it so unique. Enjoy Karen and Ben’s downtown Toronto wedding!

How did you two meet?
We met at work, in a very high pressure commission based environment.  You really get to see someone’s true colours quickly 🙂

We wanted a classic and chic palette, with a clean, graphic, modern aesthetic.

What was your favorite wedding moment?
We’re unconventional.  We always found the first dance, really awkward and contrived – so we decided it would be fun to do a horrah in its place to honor Ben’s Jewish heritage.   We did it on the rooftop, to hip-hop, overlooking the city.  It was terrifying and hilarious.

Melissa Andre created a beautiful custom popsicle bar for a late-night surprise that served key-lime pie, chocolate peanut butter, and mini egg frozen treats.

Any advice for future brides/grooms-to-be?
All those months of planning go by in a blink of an eye on an actual day. Be present, soak it all in, and don’t worry about all the details that are not perfect.  Just ENJOY and have a good time.
