Glitz Emerald Photoshoot
It seems as though winter is heading out the door, but somehow it keeps creeping in for that last rush! We’re at the cusp of switching over to our spring publication schedule, so for its last hurrah, I’m sharing a beautiful wedding photoshoot in white & silver, combined with emerald – this year’s Pantone Color of the Year. My favorite element from this photoshoot by With a Flourish & Alvina Grace Photography has to be the plank of wood beneath the centerpieces which adds a nice rustic touch!
Cold days of winter are the perfect time to get creative and inspire brides with a photoshoot! We held this shoot at Winnipeg’s historic Fort Gibraltar. Fort Gibraltar is a rustic venue, so we incorporated a wood board as part of the centerpiece, and used a color combination of white, silver, and sparkly emerald. Our gorgeous models are a recently married couple, and it even began to snow during the shoot, making for a beautiful day (and beautiful pictures)!

So we have seen some beautiful pictures from the emerald photoshoot. Will now see some from the vintage photoshoot. The vintage with a touch of pink, purple, and gold palette.
Amy of Head Over Heels Wedding & Event Planning shares a wedding photoshoot with sweet, personal touches that honor her beloved grandparents. She created a whimsical, vintage wedding with a palette of pink, purple, and gold. I’ve kind of developed a new-found love for gold recently, so it’s great to see how it can come together. Photos are by Milton Photography.
Says Amy: “This styled shoot was of personal importance to me. I lost my Grandparents a couple of years ago. They were married for 59 years and died only a few months apart. This shoot was my way to honor their memories and a tribute to the amazing love they shared! As a planner, I encourage my couples to use personal elements throughout their wedding. The ideas I used in my shoot are meaningful, simple ways to honor loved ones without making it look like a memorial.”
The lace tablecloth is used on the photo table was my Grandmothers, I remember her using it every Christmas and Thanksgiving!
The rings used were my Grandparents’ wedding rings.
The photos are wedding photos of my Grandparents and my Parents.
The cake stand I used was a vintage Saskatchewan Co-op crate. Both my grandparents were born, raised, and lived their whole lives in Saskatchewan and they were very proud of it!
