Styled Country Wed Inspiration in Alberta
We’re off to the picturesque prairies of Alberta, Canada for today’s beautiful celebration; where, with the assistance of friends and family, Tyler & Alison combined vintage-inspired elegance with rustic charm, to make the foremost romantic wedding with a ceremony nestled between waving wheat fields and a pleasant barn reception…..
Drawing inspiration from their venue, the welcoming Willow Lane Barn, and therefore the natural great thing about its surroundings, the couple styled their celebration with DIYed decor and details to offer it a country and relaxed feel. An abundance of greenery and delicate florals in white and therefore the palest pink softened the design, whilst vintage treasures were wont to add some timeless elegance.
Following a romantic dinner at the restaurant where Tyler first asked Alison to be his girlfriend, he asked her to be his wife whilst eating frozen dessert in Edworthy Park. From that day the couple gave themselves just over a year to plan their wedding, and their journey all started with finding the right venue. Alison explains “I’ve always dreamt of getting an outsized wedding, and it had been important for all of my family to be there so I searched 1,000,000 and one venues. I chose willow lane barn because we had such an outsized guest list it really limited our choices, but it had been perfect for us! it had been a touch different than your average hotel room and provided its own charm.”
The ceremony setting couldn’t are more simple. The couple let the backdrop of the Alberta plains shine, and against a blue, it couldn’t have looked more stunning. There was quite a touch of excellent luck though when it came to the weather, “We were so lucky to possess the weather we did because the night before had weather warnings about extreme tornado watch followed by a torrential downpour!”

And how dapper does Tyler & his groomsmen look in their dark blue suits?
“I was amazed at how well my flowers clothed – Calyx Floral Design was amazing to figure with!”
The couple’s reception was held within the 7000 sq ft barn, which fitted their large guest list perfectly, and provided just the backdrop for his or her DIYed rustic decor. “The wedding decorations were for the foremost part made by me, our friends or family. My dad made the tree cookies for our centerpieces and table number holders.”
“We wanted the marriage to be stress-free, which it was! My favorite a part of the day was the speeches. It’s amazing to listen to your story being told by people you’re keen on . it had been the foremost incredible day, i might n’t have changed a thing! We were surrounded by all of our favourite people! I would roll in the hay everywhere again!”
“We also so incredibly impressed by our DJ, Local DJ. They were the last ones to go away and had the floor full all night long.”
